Methodology.

The Institute of Development relies exclusively on primary source data from multilateral institutions, primarily the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), the World Bank DataBank, and the United Nations International Civil Service Commission (ICSC).

We do not accept funding from bilateral donors, NGOs, or private contractors. This ensures our structural analysis of overhead rates and funding flows remains objective.

For career and compensation data, we cross-reference published UN scales with aggregated, anonymized contract data provided by independent consultants.
